About
My Mission
Welcome to earlgibson.net. My goal is simple: to share authentic stories and practical advice from a life spent outdoors. Whether I’m troubleshooting a small engine, reviewing the latest camping gear, or documenting my travels, I aim to provide a “real world” perspective that only comes from years of hands-on experience and a professional eye for detail.
The Journey: From the Studio to the Field
My path hasn’t been a straight line, but it has always been hands-on. I started my journey in college as an Art major, which led me into the advertising world. While I spent years using those creative skills in a professional setting, I eventually felt the pull to be outdoors and work with my hands.
I decided to shift gears and moved into the landscaping business. It was a return to my roots of tinkering with equipment to see how it worked. As a self-taught tinkerer, I’ve spent years learning the mechanics of the tools I used every day to keep my business running. During this time, I realized I could combine both passions by merging my background in art and advertising with the grit of manual labor.
Today, this website and my YouTube channel are the culmination of that shift. I use my professional eye for detail to bring you high-quality videos and honest reviews, all backed by years of experience in the field.
